A catch basin, a small box measuring 1 ft. by 1 ft. (for residential use), is placed in the ground at the lowest point of your yard. A metal grate covers the top of the box to keep large debris out.

Let's imagine. You are taking your shower hot, and then, before you know it, there is a sound like something is screaming at the temperature of your water heater. On one side, don't be concerned because it's a typical plumbing issue.
